Gresham Youth Cheerleading VISION
GYC team athletes are the ambassadors of the Gresham community. Our primary role is to promote spirit through crowd leading at youth football events and act as examples of pride whenever in the eyes of our peers and surrounding community. We support our seasonal sports by giving them qualified crowd leaders that will aid them in succeeding in their goals. Whether we are wearing our Blue and white or not-, we will always establish a level of conduct that helps us to retain pride in our representation role. This will be clearly recognized through strong support of our sport teams, high excellence in both technical training and in all academic pursuits, while continuously promoting good sportsmanship at all times.
While our primary role is to act as facilitators to a high level of athletic crowd leading for Gresham Youth Football, we seek to pursue team goals of our own. The first goal is to earn the respect of those we represent. We understand that part of earning that respect is to maintain a high level of cheerleading excellence.
Below you will find links to the pages that will help familiarize you with Gresham Youth Cheerleading. We ask that you read them carefully with your daughter/son and ask any questions that may arise. We want your child’s team to be well trained, safe, and most of all a fun recreational experience in the sport of cheer! If we work together, we can accomplish all of the goals set for the coming year and minimize the burden on each family! Cheers to the great season ahead!
